Ray Ban isn’t like other brands of designer sunglasses as they only specialise in sunglasses. They know what they do well and have kept doing it. Many brands of designer sunglasses sell them as an extra along with clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories etc, where as Ray Ban just do Ray Ban designer sunglasses.
Ray Ban designer sunglasses were founded in 1937 by Bausch & Lomb. When Ray Ban designer sunglasses started out they were designed for the United States Army Air Corps and were the result of Lieutenant John MacCready suffering eye damage while out on a balloon ride. The Ray Ban designer sunglasses brand has grown dramatically since then and has been a firm favourite with celebrities as far back as Audrey Hepburn in breakfast at Tiffany’s.
The Ray Ban brand was sold in 1999 to the Italian Luxottica Group but it still remains as popular as ever as celebrities continue to choose Ray Ban designer sunglasses as their sunglasses of choice.
